Join ASI On July 22 For First-Ever Virtual Counselor Awards

ASI members invited to join the online ceremony honoring outstanding individuals and companies

TREVOSE, PA – June 8, 2020 – The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) today invited ASI members to join the first-ever online ceremony for the 2020 Counselor® Awards, taking place at 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, July 22. The annual awards recognize outstanding individuals and companies throughout the promotional products industry.

The GoTo Webinar will be hosted by Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI. The one-hour ceremony will include videos of the winners, along with acceptance speeches and the annual unveiling of the Top 40 Distributor and Top 40 Supplier rankings – the largest companies in the promotional products industry based on 2019 revenue.

“Thankfully, technology allows us to come together to recognize the trailblazers, innovators and humanitarians in our industry,” said Andrews. “Although I’m looking forward to a time when we can all join together in one place, I’m thrilled for the opportunity to host everyone in honoring what makes our industry and its people great: ingenuity, ideas and a willingness to give generously during the toughest of times.”

The 2020 Counselor Awards, which are nominated by industry peers and chosen by the editors of ASI’s award-winning Counselor magazine, will honor:

  • Person of the Year
  • International Person of the Year
  • Supplier Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Distributor Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Distributor Family Business of the Year
  • Supplier Family Business of the Year
  • Technology Executive of the Year
  • Woman of Distinction
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Bess Cohn Humanitarian Award

During the awards, ASI will also acknowledge everyone in the industry who donated to the #ASIcares food bank fund drive, which ends June 30. To date, the drive has raised over $20,000, which ASI is matching dollar for dollar up to $50,000, to make one large donation to the nonprofit Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

Each winner will be profiled in the August print and online versions of the Counselor State of the Industry (SOI) issue. Using data from the magazine’s annual SOI survey, updated this year to reflect the economic disruptions caused by the pandemic, Counselor provides coverage and analysis of the issues that matter most to the promo market.
