Yard Signs Named ASI Media’s 2024 Product of the Year

According to searches in ESP, interest in yard signs surged, with searches up 23% compared to the 2016 election cycle. Hanover, PA-based Quinn (asi/80228) reported that sales of standard yard signs more than quadrupled compared to 2020, and large-format signs gained popularity as Americans sought to amplify their messages in bigger, bolder ways.

The 2024 election cycle highlighted the enduring importance of these products. Research from Columbia University found political yard signs can increase a candidate’s vote share by 1.7 percentage points – a crucial margin in tightly contested races.

Beyond politics, yard signs became a medium for broader expression. Their use spiked during the pandemic as people celebrated milestones and conveyed support for causes, and their popularity has only grown in the years since.
