Eye-catching “Ad Freeze” campaign pushed boundaries of marketing initiatives
TREVOSE, PA – December 14, 2015 – The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) today announced its “Ad Freeze” campaign has won a prestigious national Folio: Marketing award recognizing the greatest marketing efforts by the media industry’s most innovative marketing professionals.
In addition, ASI’s stylish and informative 2015 ASI Media Kit, designed by ASI Design Principal Rick Angeloni, earned an honorable mention in the awards competition.
The winners were celebrated recently at the Grand Hyatt in New York City during the first annual Folio: Marketing Awards ceremony. The awards recognize the year’s most innovative and pioneering marketers and marketing teams across both the B2B and consumer sectors of the media industry. According to Folio:, the winners represent a diverse group of professionals who are pushing the boundaries of marketing initiatives and efforts by elevating their brands and clients to levels above and beyond the competition.
Winners included top marketing professionals and campaigns from companies like Bloomberg Media, Men’s Health and Peoplemagazine.
The Ad Freeze campaign won the Direct Mail Collateral category. The campaign was created by Holly Russell, ASI’s director of acquisition marketing, and designed by ASI Art Director Steve Oswald. Headlined “This Offer is So Hot it’s Cold,” the mailed box unfolded to reveal a branded pair of gloves to put on and prepare recipients for the metaphorical “freezing” of rates. The campaign immediately engaged the audience in the promotion and five recipients called their ASI sales representatives to say how much they enjoyed receiving the package.
