TREVOSE, PA – December 18, 2024
The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI), the largest technology, marketing, events and information provider in the $26.1 billion promo products industry, announced two strategic leadership moves designed to position ASI and the industry for continued growth and innovation.
ASI promoted Ryan Hutchison to chief product and technology officer (CPTO) and welcomed Shanley Stern as senior vice president of marketing. These key appointments further ASI’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge sales solutions and enhanced member support.
“As the promo industry continues to rapidly evolve, these leadership changes reinforce ASI’s dedication to driving innovation, strengthening our industry and enhancing the tools and resources available to our members,” said Timothy M. Andrews, ASI president and chief executive officer.
Ryan Hutchison Promoted to CPTO
Ryan Hutchison now leads all aspects of product development, design and technology initiatives as CPTO.
“Ryan’s leadership, technical expertise and deep understanding of our members’ needs have positioned him as one of the most talented tech professionals in the industry,” said Andrews. “Since joining ASI in 2008, he’s demonstrated exceptional strategic vision and I’m confident he’ll continue delivering innovations that benefit both ASI and the broader promo products industry.”
In his previous role as chief technology officer of the ASI Family of Companies, Hutchison oversaw transformative technology projects that enhanced efficiency and productivity for ASI’s 25,000-member network of suppliers, distributors and decorators.
Shanley Stern Joins ASI as Senior Vice President of Marketing
After an extensive nationwide search, ASI selected Shanley Stern to lead its marketing efforts, bringing over 15 years of experience in senior marketing and communications roles across the technology sector.
“Shanley is a seasoned B2B marketing executive with a proven track record of delivering innovative strategies that enhance customer satisfaction,” said Andrews. “Her expertise in digital marketing, strategic planning and brand elevation will ensure ASI continues to meet the changing needs of our members.”
Most recently, Stern served as senior vice president of global marketing and communications at a tech and services company, where she elevated brand awareness and demand generation through compelling campaigns and strategic collaboration.
Both Stern and Hutchison joined Andrews’ executive President’s Council.
