TREVOSE, PA – December 23, 2024
The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) is proud to highlight 2024’s ongoing charitable efforts, supporting children in homeless shelters, veterans, food-insecure families and individuals facing life-threatening illnesses across the Greater Philadelphia area and beyond.
Money was raised through a combination of employee donations, fundraisers and matching contributions from the Norman Cohn family, owners of ASI since 1962, and Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI, the largest technology, marketing and information provider in the $26.1 billion promo products industry.
Since 2003, ASI has contributed over $2 million in cash and goods to worthy causes, showcasing a deep and lasting commitment to philanthropy. This year, ASI raised over $35,000, highlighted by $15,000 donated to help United Way of Bucks County fight hunger, feed the elderly and provide emergency shelter and schooling for children.
A Year of Giving
ASI’s charitable contributions and efforts spanned a wide range of causes, combining corporate and employee-driven efforts, many organized by ASI’s Charity Initiative group, formed by employees in 2021. The collective efforts underscore ASI’s commitment to social responsibility and community impact, promoting goodwill toward all, including:
Leadership Reflections
Andrews, who grew up in a trailer in Indiana with a single mother on food stamps, often emphasizes the importance of giving back, a value shared across the company.
“At ASI, we care deeply about our members, colleagues and communities,” said Andrews. “We’re committed to improving lives and giving back. Helping others isn’t just what we do – it’s who we are.”
Norman Cohn, ASI chairman, added, “From a young age, my parents instilled in us the importance of helping others. At ASI, we’re a small family-owned company made up of people with big hearts, and it’s inspiring to see so many employees work tirelessly to support those in need.”
