ASI Show Chicago Named to List of 50 Fastest-Growing Trade Shows

Chosen by Trade Show Executive magazine for growing paid exhibit space

TREVOSE, PA – March 16, 2015 – The ASI Show® today announced its Chicago trade show earned a ranking on the Trade Show Executive (TSE) magazine’s list of 50 fastest-growing shows in the U.S. for growing its net square feet of paid exhibit space.

A total of 91 trade shows earned a ranking on the annual list for exhibiting growth in 2014. The growth leaders will be honored by Trade Show Executive during a three-day celebration May 19-21 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

“The Fastest 50 awards and summit is not only a tribute to the sizzling numbers these show organizers produced, but also spotlights their ingenuity and skill in thriving during unprecedented growth spurts,” said Darlene Gudea, TSE president.

Each year, TSE honors the 50 fastest-growing shows in three categories: net square feet of paid exhibit space, number of exhibiting companies and total attendance. Some shows were the fastest-growing in multiple categories, resulting in 91 unique shows receiving the honors. ASI Show Chicago was honored for increasing its net square feet of exhibit space. The average trade show in 2014 grew only 2.6% in net square feet of exhibit space.

ASI Show Chicago celebrated its 15th anniversary in that city in 2014. The three-day show featured 50 education sessions, leading suppliers, 22 team-building distributor sales meetings and a multimedia keynote by graffiti artist, entrepreneur and motivational speaker Erik Wahl on using creativity to super-charge your potential, along with an education session by noted author and speaker Stephen M.R. Covey.

 ASI’s Chicago show took place at McCormick Place and featured 750 exhibiting companies – including numerous Counselor® Top 40 suppliers. Total distributor attendance was more than 4,300, from distributor firms based in 42 states and eight countries, an increase over 2013 of 3.5%. In addition, the show floor featured a Signage + Decoration Pavilion launched in partnership with ST Media Group as a way to showcase decoration and signage vendors.

The show – the largest ad specialty trade show of the summer – is a favorite of entrepreneurs, CEOs and small-business owners across the country. Registration is now open for the 2015 Chicago show at McCormick Place, Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16. Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, the league’s only five-time MVP and a 13-time Pro Bowl selection, will be the keynote speaker, Thursday, July 16, 8:30-9:45 a.m. CT.
