Chatting With the 2021 Distributor Entrepreneurs of the Year

Ann Vidro and Menda Wright, owners of Michigan-based Creative Studio Promotions, aim to be a one-stop shop for their clients.

For the 2021 Distributor Entrepreneurs of the Year, it’s all about relationship-building. Ann Vidro and Menda Wright, owners of Creative Studio Promotions (asi/170976) in Grand Rapids, MI, are inseparable friends and business partners who liken their years-long collaboration to a marriage.

“We always say it was love at first sight,” Wright jokes.

In this episode of Promo Insiders, Theresa Hegel, executive editor of digital content at ASI Media, talks with Vidro and Wright about the power of online stores, times they’ve gone above and beyond for clients and how collaborating – rather than competing – with other distributors can be a win-win proposition.

Specializing in online stores, Creative Studio Promotions takes an agency approach – aiming to be a one-stop shop for clients, creating brand campaigns, building websites, procuring goods, warehousing, fulfilling and sending items all over the world. “Managing client relationships is what we do best,” Vidro says.

Vidro and Wright are also active in Premier Group, a buying network of which Wright is the incoming chairwoman. In addition to helping narrow down suppliers, the network has mastermind groups and knowledge sharing that the pair have found invaluable. In fact, they say, the relationships they’ve built with other distributors have almost been more beneficial to their business than the cost savings they get from being in a buying network.
