Technosport Canada Rebrands as S&S Canada

The new branding comes nearly a year after S&S Activewear acquired the Quebec-based supplier.

Technosport Canada (asi/90703) in Anjou, QC, has officially rebranded as S&S Canada. The announcement comes about nine months after Top 40 supplier S&S Activewear (asi/84358) acquired Technosport Canada, which has distribution centers in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec.

“The new logo and branding mirrors that of S&S Activewear and will show the unity between both companies,” said Marc Vitulli, S&S Activewear’s vice president of marketing, in a statement. “This merging had already happened in so many areas behind the scenes; the new name and logo will make it apparent to the public.”

S&S Canada plans for new brand additions to its product line, as well as improvements at a new distribution center in Calgary.

With Technosport’s rebranding, we’re thrilled to move into the next phase of the acquisition,” said Jim Shannon, president of S&S Activewear, in a statement. “Our companies and culture already mesh well together, so this was really the last piece of the puzzle.”

At the time of the Technosport acquisition in January, S&S said Technosport was attractive for its strong distribution network across Canada and its focus on retail brands. For its part, Technosport is now able to expand its offerings to its client base across Canada by using S&S’s streamlined operations.

It’s been an active few years for S&S Activewear, which has undertaken an aggressive growth strategy. In 2019, S&S relocated its West Coast operations to a larger 800,000-square-foot distribution center in Reno, NV, and also expanded its presence in the Midwest with a new 750,000-square-foot LEED-certified distribution center in Lockport, IL.
