Chocolate Inn/Lanco Launches New Kits

The line combines the Top 40 supplier’s food products, hard goods and retail brand relationships.

Top 40 supplier Chocolate Inn/Lanco (asi/44900) has launched a new product line just in time for Q2.

Leveraging its variety of food products, hard goods and retail brand relationships, the New York-based company has created kitting solutions for at-home activities. To kick off a virtual meeting or event, the Coffee and Donuts mailer kit features a ground coffee packet, a 2-oz. bag of donut hole bites, a 2-oz. bag of dark chocolate espresso beans and a 14-oz. coffee mug.

Happy Hour Kit

Meanwhile, the Happy Hour cocktail kit contains a 17-oz. vacuum-sealed tumbler, a bag of cocktail gummy bears, a bag of party snack mix, a box of mango tini cocktail mix and a box of berry tini cocktail mix. The Fireside Favorites mailer kit features a “Make Your Own S’mores” pack and two hot chocolate bombs with some creative packaging: The top of the box says “A Match Made In Sweet Heaven” and the outside sticker says “You’re Appreciated S’more Than You Know!”

“One of the goals we have in our ecosystem is to sell promotional solutions,” says Lance Stier, CEO of NC Custom, the promotional products division of Nassau Candy, which is the parent company of Chocolate Inn/Lanco. “In a world where distributors and end-users are running leaner, we’ve been doing a lot of work in cross-selling. We’re combining a best-in-class edible assortment in confectionery, food and other brands with hard goods, drinkware and other specialty items.”

Stier says the supplier was very successful in 2020 with its drinkware and food gifts, especially in Q4 with its partnership with Mrs. Fields. Chocolate Inn/Lanco has followed up by releasing a catalog of appreciation gifts for front-line workers, which include gourmet kits, cooler bags, tumblers and more. The gifts are designed with phrases like “Spread Love, Not Germs” and “Coffee, Scrubs & Rubber Gloves.” With police, firefighters, nurses and teachers all being celebrated in May, distributors targeting front-line workers should start planning now.

With reported 2019 North American promotional product revenue of $60.5 million, Chocolate Inn/Lanco ranked 25th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the promotional products industry. The new list is due out in the summer of 2021.
