Frequently asked questions about ASI SmartSales.

Q 1: What browsers support ASI SmartSales™?
A: ASI SmartSales is supported by Internet Explorer, but will also function in Mozilla Firefox and Safari.

Q 1a: I am getting an error message when using Mozilla Firefox. What should I do?
A: If the message, "This browser is currently not supported" appears, it is notifying you that optimal functionality may not be available on this browser. However, you can continue to use Firefox. To disable the message, select the checkbox and click "Continue".

Q 2: Where do I go to log into ASI SmartSales?
A: You can type SmartSales.asicentral.com in the address bar of your browser to access ASI SmartSales.

Q 3: How do I get my initial log-in information?
A: The first time you access ASI SmartSales, you will receive two emails. The first email will contain a temporary password and the second email will contain a link to access ASI SmartSales.

Click on the link included in the second email to access ASI Smart Sales. This link is only active for five days, so make sure to use it before then. When you click on the link, it will bring you to a page where you will need to enter the password that was included in the first email you received.

Enter the first-use password and then follow the prompts to create a new one. After setting up your password, you can then set up your security questions. These questions could be used if you ever need to recover your password.

Q 4: Can I import my client list?
A: Absolutely. ASI SmartSales has a Data Importing Tool to load your client list, contacts, leads and opportunities. ASI’s Product Support team can guide you through the importing process over the phone or you can watch a tutorial. To view the “Importing a List” tutorial, please click here.

From Quickbooks

Q 4a: What if I don’t have an electronic version of my customers to upload?
A: Then now is the perfect time to add each one into ASI SmartSales and create an electronic customer list. You can add clients in ASI SmartSales by clicking on “Accounts” and selecting “New Account”. Fill in the fields and click “Save”.

Q 4b: Will ASI load my client list?
A: ASI Product Support will provide you with a template to load your accounts, contacts and leads and assist you on suggested data fields for your import.

Q 5: What is the difference between a lead and an opportunity?
A: Think of doing business in terms of stages. A lead is a prospective contact that you would like to market or advertise your products to or whom you may consider doing business with. This is stage one. Opportunities are the second stage, where your lead has communicated a need for your services, therefore offering you a business opportunity. Click here for tutorial.

Q 6: What are the ratings of A, B, C, and D in Leads?
A: This is a scale rating as set up by your company. For example: A = Hot, B = Warm, C = Cool and D = Cold.

Q 7: What types of documents can I store?
A: You can store any type of file up to 25 MB in ASI SmartSales.

Q 7a: What if I need more storage space than what is designated?
A: You can contact your account executive for more information on additional storage space pricing.

Q 8: What email services are supported with ASI SmartSales?
A: The supported email services are Microsoft Office Outlook and Lotus Notes. ASI SmartSales has an integration tool to easily sync your Outlook with ASI SmartSales.

Q 8a: What if I don’t have Microsoft Office Outlook or Lotus Notes?
A: You can purchase the latest edition of Microsoft Office Outlook at most computer stores or by clicking here.

Q 8b: If I change contact information in CRM, does it automatically sync with my Outlook?
A: A plugin is available in ASI SmartSales that can sync your contacts, tasks and appointments.

Q 8c: What if I run my business from my Yahoo account?
A: Currently, there is no integration tool for web-based email.

Q 9: Does ASI SmartSales offer any type of reporting?
A: Yes, ASI SmartSales has a complete Reports Section. Use it to track you and your staff’s sales effectiveness, pipeline, marketing effectiveness and much more.

Q 10: Can I market my business using ASI Smart Sales?
A: Yes. ASI SmartSales is integrated with Sales Campaigns, a tool in which you can design and distribute personalized, professional email offers to targeted recipients. You can also analyze their responses and identify opportunities that you can follow up on.

Q 11: What are the general requirements for graphics in Sales Campaign?
A: The supported file types are as follows: GIF, JPG (RGB color model only) and PNG.
The maximum file size is 200 kilobytes (KB).
The maximum width is 1000 pixels and the maximum length is 1000 pixels.
