Integrus Acquires Canadian Distributor
Volume 597
April 2, 2009

Looking to further expand its business in parts of Ontario, Canada, Integrus Brand Solutions (asi/231537) has acquired D-DeSigns! (asi/173558), the companies have announced. Terms of the deal were not released. The agreement was finalized in March. “This acquisition provides us with access to two new geographic markets (Burlington and Hamilton) in which we have only minor presence today,” says Justin Aniballi, president of Integrus. “Going forward, we will use our new presence in these markets to complete our penetration into the greater Toronto area.”

As part of an ongoing growth strategy, Integrus, a company of 50 employees, first approached D-DeSigns last year. Talks began in September. Peggi DeGroote, president of D-DeSigns, will work as an executive adviser for Integrus. “I am excited about the possibilities that exist from the union of two great companies and the possibilities that exist for my clients with the service solutions Integrus will now offer them,” said DeGroote in a statement.

Aniballi called 2008 a “challenging” time, but says Integrus was able “to sustain growth at or above the industry average for most of the year.” He is very optimistic about 2009. “Integrus is poised for expansion in 2009 based on recent client acquisitions as well as the potential we see from our acquisition of D-DeSigns,” says Aniballi.

Established in 1986, Integrus boasts clients that include IBM, BMW, Air Canada and Heinz. Aniballi says his company will aggressively pursue other acquisitions as opportunities arise in the future.
